The Warwick Jumper represents The House of York (The White Rose) and in particular Richard Neville, 16th Early of Warwick. Also known as 'The Kingmaker'.

Richard Neville, Early of Warwick was very closely linked to The House of York, its rise to power as well as its demise.

Known as 'The Kingmaker', he was instrumental in the crowning of King Edward IV of England, brother to George, The Duke of Clarence and Richard, The Duke of York.

Not only was he the Father-In-Law to the King's brothers, he was instrumental in the plot to install George Plantagenet on the throne in place of his older brother. His daughter would then become Queen of England.

As history shows, this was not to be. Instead the death of George paved the way for Neville's demise on 14th April 1471 and the eventual crowning of the third brother who become King Richard III in 1483. Alongside King Richard his wife, Anne Neville, the youngest of Warwick's daughters, was crowned Queen of England in 1483.

The twin to this jumper is The Bosworth Jumper, and represents the other House involved in The War of The Roses, The House of Lancaster.

In ecru yarn with fitted collar and a deep waistband, this is a highly versatile sweater with iconic vintage clothing styling.
