The Pembroke Polo Shirt takes its shape from an original British Army sports shirt in our collection. Made in Ireland and dated 1952, that shirt has the open collar and easy fit we wanted to bring into the Pembroke. Its design draws on an earlier tradition of polo shirts, giving us a practical starting point for a piece intended for everyday wear.
Made in England from 9oz brushed organic cotton jersey, the same fabric used for the Arkwright Henley and Radcliffe Polo Shirt, the Pembroke feels soft against the skin while retaining a substantial feel. Wear it on its own or layer it beneath a jacket or jumper.
Available in black and ivory.

The story behind the name
Pembroke has a long association with British collegiate sport. Pembroke College, Oxford, has a rowing history stretching back to the 19th century, a fitting connection for a polo shaped by a sports shirt.
