A faithful recreation of an original 1930s pattern, The Melbourne Trousers embody the relaxed elegance of British tailoring from the interwar years.

Cut with a high rise, double forward pleats and a generous fit through the seat and thigh, they are designed to be worn as trousers once were: sitting naturally on the waist, draping cleanly through the leg and offering comfort throughout the day. The wide 10" hem is finished with a traditional 2" turn-up, creating the balanced silhouette that defined the era.

Made in England using 11oz British wool woven by Abraham Moon & Sons in Yorkshire, The Melbourne is substantial enough for cooler days while remaining comfortable across much of the year. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the traditional button fly to the organic cotton pocket bags and natural Corozo buttons, all chosen to ensure these trousers will age as gracefully as the cloth itself.

The Melbourne is designed to sit on the natural waist, offering a fuller cut through the thigh before falling into a clean, straight leg. We recommend choosing your true waist measurement rather than your usual modern trouser size.
