Faithfully reproduced from the classic British Army Motor Transport driver's goggles, The Motorist Goggles are a timeless accessory for vintage motoring, historical collections and living history.
With their metal frames, clear glass lenses, soft padded eye surround, cotton elasticated head strap and hinged centre bridge, they remain true to the original design that served British military drivers from the First World War through to the end of the Second.
Before adding them to our collection, we took them where they belonged. Packed into our 1942 Ford Jeep, they accompanied us across Morocco and the Western Sahara during The Raid, standing up to the dust, wind and harsh conditions of the desert. Today, they're just as likely to be found travelling with us in our pre-war and wartime vehicles on roads much closer to home.
