As seen on Three-Part Britbox Series "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?", starring Will Poulter and directed by Hugh Laurie.

A distinctive collared jumper inspired by the sporting style of the 1930s.

Knitted in a rich steel blue, the Birkin features a neat fitted collar and deep ribbed waistband, creating the strong, clean silhouette seen in original knitwear of the period. Based on a 1936 pattern, it has an unmistakably vintage character without feeling like a costume.

The jumper takes its name from Sir Henry Ralph Stanley “Tim” Birkin, one of the celebrated Bentley Boys and a driving force behind the development of the Bentley Blower. Born into a Nottingham lace-manufacturing family, Birkin became one of Britain’s best-known racing drivers during the interwar years.

Practical, versatile and easy to wear, the Birkin works equally well with high-waisted trousers, denim or beneath a jacket. Its timeless shape has made it a firm favourite with both men and women.
