Lost to the sea, but never to time — The Dunwich draws its name from the medieval Suffolk port town now half-submerged beneath the North Sea. Echoing that quiet endurance, this cap is built to last, handmade with a level of detail that sets it apart from anything else on the market.
Designed from a 1930s dart pattern, and faithfully recreated to the original construction, The Dunwich is the most authentic flat cap of its kind available today. It’s handmade in Birmingham from hardwearing dark navy herringbone wool (woven by Abraham Moon & Sons) and fully lined in soft organic cotton for breathable comfort year-round.
The structure is held by traditional buckram reinforcement, and the peak is shaped using a pliable fibreboard, not plastic — a rare and sustainable choice. Each cap is finished with a woven label made in England, the final signature of a truly crafted piece.
