Previously known as The Slater Jeans — now reborn under a new name, but with the same uncompromising spirit.
The Trask Jeans are Stanley Biggs’ answer to timeless, authentic denim workwear — designed for those who carry the past with pride, and wear it with purpose.
Made in England using 13oz, preshrunk 100% cotton indigo denim from the world-renowned Candiani Denim Company of Italy (est. 1938), these jeans are built to endure. Durable yet wearable, the cloth carries both heritage and integrity in every thread.
Crafted with our own custom brushed metal rivets and button studs, each pair is finished with a 3.25" pre-folded turn-up — a nod to early 20th-century workwear traditions. The wide leg, approximately 11", allows for easy movement and a classic silhouette.
Inside, the pocket lining is cut from heavy, undyed calico cotton and individually stamped with the ‘Biggs Workwear’ mark — each pair hand-numbered by batch.
While once named after Samuel Slater — the British-born industrialist dubbed ‘The Father of the American Industrial Revolution’ and controversially remembered as ‘Slater the Traitor’ — the jeans have been renamed to better reflect the evolving Biggs story.
Inspired by Caleb Trask, the iconic James Dean character from East of Eden (1955), The Trask carries the same weight of misunderstood ambition and rugged self-reliance. Still rooted in revolution — now with a name that better suits the soul of the garment.
